As the foremost point of contact for patients requiring urgent care, most medical personnel experience occupational injuries handling glass ampoules when they apply needles and medicine, which results from the ampoule being snapped during handling. The glass cuts and shards of the ampoule often result in injury and pharmaceutical infection when their point of force application or positioning of the finger is incorrect.
Snap Protector is designed as a supplemental syringe attachment to provide a faster and safer method for opening an ampoule to improve treatment times and the quality of medical care.
