Although island countries are surrounded by the sea, a lack of high mountains to trap airborne water vapor to form precipitation and an uneven distribution of rainfall can result in shortages of freshwater supplies. This flying object placed upwind can trap airborne water vapor during the night and dawn hours. After coming to rest on the stainless-steel net, the vapor cools and water droplets form. These are collected in tubes and stored underground.
