Cervical cancer is the 4th leading death cause and affects 12900 women every year. With regular check-ups at the gynecologist, early cancer cells can be detected. Yet due to busy lifestyles and the unpleasant exposed examination position on the birth chair, women tend to skip appointments and increase the risk of undetected cancer.
Blossom is designed for women to test themselves in a private environment whenever they find the time between appointments. The soft cotton bristles take the cell sample, which get sent to the gynecologist after the examination. With the app, the user can stay in touch and keep track of the analyzation progress.
