Blind people face enormous challenges when traveling alone. Currently blind people depend on their hearing and use a white cane to perceive the world. The Naviband is an innovative new concept for blind people who currently rely on the white cane or a guide dog to travel. The Naviband is made up of one bone conduction earphone, two cameras and 12 oscillators. It assists the blind user to recognize obstacles and point them in the right direction. It is ideal for the challenging environments such as low light, dusty and narrow underpass.
