As a solution to waterborne diseases in the third world, SODIS & filter based products can be possible alternatives. However, both of them has limitations. First, for SODIS, it takes long time to disinfect water. Thus people avoid using SODIS method though they know how to use. Secondly, for products with filter, you have to replace the filter many times, which decrease sustainability. Therefore, we switched the main parts from the sun and filter to UV lamp. Since UV lamp uses UV-C wavelength(germicidal wavelength), its effectiveness of sterilization increases. Also, by operating the UV lamp with manual generator, it increases sustainabilit.
