Signboards played an important role in Taiwanese landscapes. These products, presented in 4 Chinese characters-“Yong”(eternity), “Wei”(taste), “Le”(joy), and“Woo”(dance), aim to transfer old-day signboards into creative souvenirs.
The 17 wood-carved “Yong“ chops represent the 8 strokes in Chinese calligraphy. Each chop symbolizes eternal well-being.“Wei” The iron signboard is mainly used by old cuisines. Each is loaded with old flavors. The 3 “Le” light boxes. Symbolically, under the shiny “Le”, people are seeking for hope in the dark. The character ”Woo” formed by assembled neon tubes symbolizes the booming economy during the period.
