Dumpling concept teaching

Dumplings are the Chinese characteristics of traditional delicacy. Many foreign friends are very interested in both dumplings and their production process; however, the online tutorial is complex and difficult to understand. Due to this reason, we apply service design thinking to our dumpling making product, called "Dumplings Course Book," which provides both the tutorial and all the dumpling making tools. Thus, foreigners can follow book instructions and use tools provided by the book to make real dumplings successfully. In a word, we designed a course book which enables us to make dumplings via its instructions and tools.

JURY STATEMENT

This design is not only an introduction into a cooking method but also into a food culture. The book turns into a souvenir which is worth collecting. After using it, foreigners may well better understand Chinese culture.

WINNER STATEMENT

We as a group are thankful and grateful for being awarded this mind blowing prize. It is an encouragement for us, so we strive for making more in-depth and problem-solving designs to help make the world a more convenient place to live in.
