Dementia underwear / Puroduct concept

Dementia underwear
Dementia underwear

I began my research based on my family’s experience with my grandfather who suffered from dementia. While conducting research on special nursing homes and day service in Japan. it became apparent that we have to accept home care for reasons such as shortage of personnel and the reduction of nursing care insurance support.
Therefore, for the purpose of reducing the mental burden caused by caring for dementia patients at home, I have concentrated on designing incontinence pants that prevent excreta from seeping out. This will allow dementia sufferers to sit up more and live more comfortably while reducing the burden on home caregivers.
