Bamboodia / Prosthetic

Bamboodia
Bamboodia

BAMBOODIA is a low cost prosthetic specially designed for teenagers suffered from below-knee amputation that caused by landmines. According to the latest statistic report published by Cambodian government, there is a number of approx. 60,000 casualties caused by landmines in the recent 30 years. The number of landmine amputees surpressed other regions. The economic status of these amputees are often worse than average, in case that normal prosthetics are not affordable. Hence, we hope to apply local resources in Cambodia to make low-cost and standardize prosthetics.
