“Blaue Stunde – Blue Hour” by Diller Scofidio + Renfro with Matthew Monteith in collaboration. "In the Blue Hour spectrum, colors intensify while shadows grow more diffuse, buildings look very sexy during this time,” says architect Elizabeth Diller. 45 photos of a room, all taken from the same angle in over 60 minutes. Light changes from one shot to the next, giving rise to a dynamic narrative. The book compromises the artistic annual report and the corporate report, each measuring 280 x 370 mm. In the middle of the corporate book there is a second, small book based on a roundtable meeting between Liz Diller, Paul Marantz and Klaus Vamberszky.

  • TARGET GROUPS Consumer / User, Other target groups:: Architects, Designers, Artists, Shareholders, Libraries

  • TARGET REGIONS Africa, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America, South America

  • DEVELOPMENT TIME other period:: 5 Months

  • DATE OF LAUNCH 2016

This entry deserves the gold because of the poetic story it tells contrasting against the more formal nature of an economic report. Presented in a beautifully executed book that takes us into the 'story of light and darkness', this report brings so much emotion and humanity to a category that is usually so dry and functional. It is a joy to behold!
