The HBP-8000 is used in a clinical setting to monitor arterial diseases. Three modes allow for a wide range of diagnostic actions: pulse-wave velocity (PWV) mode measures arteriosclerosis via arm and ankle cuffs; ankle-brachial index (ABI) mode measures blood vessel blockage; and blood pressure mode measures differences in blood pressure between the arms. The HBP-8000 was designed with separate upper arm and ankle units allowing for a compact design and quick access to the upper arm cuffs. With greater flexibility and simple operation, the HBP-8000 is accessible to smaller clinics; improving the diagnosis and treatment of arterial diseases.
