Inspired by the insignificant structure of wood panelling in concrete buildings BRETON captures the beauty of this natural influence. The surface is becoming a haptic experience. The appearance of a wooden board is deceiving.
It is concrete – cold and heavy but filigree on its surface. In contrast to this heavy material, the thin brass mountings support a light, almost levitating look.

Janis Fromm is studying product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg.

He sees himself as a designer with a strong focus on the combination of harmonic materials with a consideration of a natural influence.
