HISTORY - POINT STICK:
Ted Selker(1984) fond that typist needs a relatively long 0.75 sec to shift the hand from the keyboard to the mouse, and comparable time to shift back. Therefore, Selker built a model of a device that would minimize this time., it was point stick.
CHALLENGE:
Point stick has not changed a lot since invention. It still has not had the function of scroll, swipe and etc. like touchpad and mouse.
SOLUTION:
Point stick is a modifier key, when user touch the point stick, the microcontroller inside the keyboard sends a scancode for changing the original function of other simultaneous key-presses.
