Metro Grip+ / Subway handrail

Metro Grip+
Metro Grip+

The Metro Grip+ is an evolution of the Taipei Metro system handrails. The new handrail acts as a 3D line map, with rounded triangle station lights, each little segment on the handrail represents a stop with its specific name printed on. The segment glows when arriving.
It is also covered in silicone for better gripping strength and its different color represents different metro lines.

A locking mechanism is accompanied with the handrail, it can allow travellers to wrap their luggages in place.

This new handrail design offers 2x the gripping area than before. All the while providing a safer, enjoyable, and convenient travel experience.
