Opus Gravis / furniture

Opus Gravis
Opus Gravis

Decorated stool legs from the end of the 19th century were the models for the furniture series. Giving the ancient handturned wooden structure an unusual look and feel, the four concrete casted legs of each hold extruded wooden frames. The furniture series ‘Opus Gravis‘ is the reinterpretation of old-fashioned ornaments in combination with warm oak and cold concrete. Whether placed in the living room or any other room in the house, the bevel bounded, symmetrical and open cubes, invite to store
and keep objects in a special deposition, framing them like precious items in a museum.
