The major purpose in designing Kørsel was a maximization of the lighting area - the lamp has no actual foot. Kørsel achieves this through its two individually turnable elements which can be moved by turning them as well as moving them up and down. The ring on which the weight lasts, offers storage for a long cable. The cable is rolled onto the ring when not in use. This is also a main characteristic aspect for the design of Kørsel.
