This work presents an approach, trying to achieve a benefit for the user within a professional context by branded interface design, specifically at medical equipment. In cooperation with the ‚MIPM Mammemdorfer Institut für Physik und Medizin GmbH‘, a styleguide, based on their brand guidelines was developed, defining principles for the design of the brand’s user interfaces. By using deductions from the brand’s core values in combination with universal design principles, a distinctive appearance is created, stressing brand recognition and combining high usability with professional and modern aesthetics.
