Regenerationof Taipei City Alleys Problems:
Most of the alleyways in Taipei are narrow and packed with tight buildings in which the commercial and residential vertical mixed-use is predominantly pervasive.
What makes the matter worse is that many building developmentsare unauthorizedand do not fit in the landscape at all.
Residents also park their cars and motorcycles on the narrow and crowded alleyways, thereby depriving pedestrians of the rights to walk.
The lack of a park nearby for recreation has exacerbated the already poor life quality.
