Xplode Safety Charger is a modular mining vehicle for charging explosives in mines. Handling explosives in mines is dangerous work that needs both a great deal of caution and flexibility. In order to drive a tunnel further in a mine, you need to fill around 40 drill holes with an explosive emulsion, and connect the holes through a trigger cable. This process is time-consuming and the more time workers spend in the dangerous area of the tunnel "face", the higher the risk of falling rocks, for example. Xplode accelerates the process and provides protection for the worker charging the explosives, while also offering full flexibility.

I like the idea of implementing appropriate shields for human operator in an extreme environment that's threatening safety, not only the attempt to increase performance of the machine. The modular concept is stunning although it might require some extra attention to accessories such as special outrigger and/or formal, structural description of the vehicle as a whole.
Jury Statement
I am really happy and thankful to have this project recognized by an IF STUDENT DESIGN AWARD 2016. Even today, the mining industry is a dangerous work environment whose different work areas can still be improved.
