DoorPuff / Fire installation

DoorPuff
DoorPuff

Fires most often occur during the night and without warning. This unpredictability deprives people of their chance to escape. DoorPuff is a fire-blocking mechanism installed underneath a door that can detect temperature rise and smoke in case of fire. Combined with a central detection system, this installation uses easily discernible green and red indicator light with an alarm to inform residents if the doorway is still safe for a timely escape. The fire-blocking material is a fireproof strip that expands rapidly in high temperature. It prevents the smoke from spreading and gains more time for escape in an emergency.
