Water Prism / water glass

Water Prism
Water Prism

Sunlight can be broken into different colors through a prism. The colors are usually called "spectrum" or "rainbow". Water Prism is inspired by this beautiful physical phenomenon.
By a sloping bottom, the regular glass cup is divided into two triangular sections. When the glass cup is filled with water, the top section becomes a water prism allowing sunlight passing through to project a “rainbow” on table.
This design intends to encourage people to find, observe and create the beauty of nature in life.
