Prison Escapes is a document that examines four of the greatest prison escapes in history. The first story is about John Dillinger in 1934 America. It then moves onto a World War II German prison camp, Colditz. The famous 1962 escape from Alcatraz is then explored. In Pretoria Prison, South Africa, three anti-apartheid prisoners managed the carve keys that unlocked the ten doors that denied them their freedom. Each story has its own aesthetic that communicates the prisoner’s struggles and their method of escape.
