Antilope / Running Prosthesis

Antilope
Antilope

Antilope is a prosthetic concept that aims to empower amputees to be active in sports. Regular walking prosthetics today are not suitable for running, especially the foot components don’t provide the energy return needed for a natural running movement. Special running prosthetics, however, are expensive and not covered by insurance, so amputees can often not afford them. Antilope is a two-in-one system that allows users to switch from walking to running prosthesis by simply exchanging the foot component. This can be done as fast as changing shoes thanks to a quick release system.
