This design is aimed to solve the problem of blood regurgitation in the process of infusion. In this design, a little red ball is put into the drip chamber. When the infusion is on a normal condition, the red ball is floating. However, when the liquid is lower than drip chamber, the red ball will sink and stuck at the bottom of the drip chamber because of its own gravity, and the fusion will stop, which is also a reminder for the nurse to change dressings or pull the needle out from the patient.
