The lamp Sori carries the abstraction of the biomechanical dissemination mechanism of the Farnsporangiums and therefore it does not require material-intensive and expensive joints. Through two different to each other tensioned molded laminated timber sheets that approach in targeting lamp, a minimalist continuously variable bending without hinges is possible. The desired height position is synchronously locked by an inner tension cable & spring system. By a hovered swipe over the baseplate the light will be turned on or off by a proximity sensor which is under the laminated timber.
