The test paper is blue (alkalinity) before using the wrap. When food is put in the refrigerator, due to evaporation, moisture will appear on the wrap. The test paper comes into contact with the moisture and will turn red (acidity) if the food is rotten.
An intuitive and vivid approach to limiting food waste. This concept truly appealed to the jury.

We would like to express our appreciation for all the support we received from the beginning to the end. We especially thank our Professor, Chien-Ming Hsieh, and our parents who stood behind us and supported us as best they could. It is a great encouragement for our young designers to receive the HAIER DESIGN PRIZE 2016 by iF. We want to keep this power going in our future work and we are very happy that our hard work has paid off.
