The concept of the timber is about transferring the resilient properties of wood to a bicycle frame. Inspired by resilient furniture and the leaf spring the frame has been designed to absorb vibration and lend the vehicle a spring effect on uneven urban roads. By comparably high stiffness and a great absorption capacity as well as the given environmental advantages of wood, the frame communicates its functionality by the symbolism of the leaf spring very clearly. Simple aluminium components in black emphasize the exclusive wooden core of the bicycle. The unique appearance thus makes the timber a real eye-catcher at any place.
