“findus“ is a set of tableware for visually impaired people. All four pieces enable users to consume meals more independently and the aesthetics complements its functional design.
The key elements of the design are:
_an overhang at the top of the well in the plate and bowl that prevents food from spilling;
_tactile marks on the underside of the lip that allow users to locate the different parts of their meal, and a white mark which helps a caregiver to orient the plate and bowl;
_contrast between the grey and white in each piece to differentiate them from each other and the table;
_a thick base to ensure the stability of the cup and glass.
