The main concept in this project is sustainable design. Many woods that are used by the musical instruments industry are sourced from tropical forests that have been gradually depleted due to over harvesting, among other factors. On the other side, the beer malt, after been used in the brewing process, becomes a spent grain that usually is donated or sold as hog slop to farmers. An immense amount of that spent grain is produced daily. This spent grain, combined with other components, become a new material wich whom the body of this guitar is made of. It`s acoustic properties are similar to the tradicional tonewoods.
