Nowadays, many people do not realize that cat food and dog food are not interchangeable. According to research, the nutrients cats and dogs require are very different. Dogs are unable to digest and absorb high protein. These excess nutrients remain in dogs’ bodies and may cause damage long term. Thus, this design utilizes cats’ habit of licking their food to develop a device that drops out food only when cats lick it. The food is generally stored in a bottle so dogs do not have access to it.
