Box Park was my project for my Final Year Project while doing Interior Architecture & Design where the topic was Parasitic Architecture. The reason behind designing an indoor playground was the shortage of playgrounds compared to the amount of childcare facilities and schools in the vicinity. The site, which comprises mostly of a carpark, while unorthodox, was chosen primarily due to the convenience and high human traffic it had. The vision was to design a paradise for the children, and protecting them from a supposedly "dangerous" environment, similar to a shell or a cocoon, while solving the issues a vertical space posed and making it fun.
