Bloom Light / Mouth Blown Glass Light

Bloom Light
Bloom Light

The beauty of design can lie in the simplest pieces. But the most visually simple pieces can be the hardest to create.
Bloom lights are made from hand blown glass using a myriad of traditional glass techniques that have been translated into a new context.
The designer studied glass blowing for a number of years to be able to understand the possibilities of the material.
The processes used in the production of the pieces created forms that are unique within the lighting world.
The resulting product is an artisan project that sits on the edge between art and design.
Bloom light was designed by Katharine Graham.
