My design proposal was to create a learning environment for 300 children, 5 to 16 years old, that ties in both their existing school and library. Keeping the identity of the current school, the new extension is build around existing sheds and trees, converting them to play areas in the midst of the learning environment. The new extension will provide a sheltered, naturally ventilated and lighted walkway from the existing classrooms to the library. At the same time leading to the new classroom pods and a second level of self study area.
