EnAble Chair / Chair Design

EnAble Chair
EnAble Chair

Our society is ageing, this chair aims to support independent living through intelligent, subtle design.
A walking stick is a useful tool aiding stability and movement: Where does it go when the user is seated?
The ‘EnAble’ chair is designed to positively engage with the walking stick, storing it accessibly and facilitating mobility. The design works through a series of unobtrusive cut-outs in the armrest, seat and front legs. These work together to support and hold the stick in position, whilst allowing the user to move in and out confidently. The strong, clean aesthetics makes the chair widely desirable.
Simple, yet effective.
