Colbie / Bamboo Wall Cladding

Colbie
Colbie

The Colbie wall cladding was inspired by bee hives, and its concept is the union. The product has fittings that connect the modules forming the wall cladding, referring the hexagonal shape of the hives. The raw material chosen was the bamboo plate, since it is a renewable resource and it has a low-cost production capability.
The production of the parts is made of two types of plate thickness, a 10 mm and 20 mm, enabling variations and compositions of the wall cladding. Installation is done with screws, facilitating the process and avoiding serious damage to the product, so it can be removed and reused without the parts being damaged.
