Hugsy / multifunctional blanket

Hugsy is a multifunctional swaddling blanket that simulates and facilitates Kangaroo Mother Care for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) provides skin to skin contact between mother and baby. Hugsy simulates KMC by bringing the baby into the womb position which stabilizes and brings comfort to his mind & body. It also records mother’s heartbeat during KMC and plays it back to the baby in the incubator as well as capturing the mother’s scent. Moreover, it helps maintain baby’s body temperature during KMC and facilitates easier transfers to and from the incubator by securing wires from the baby
