Djulis / visual communication

Djulis

Senior Taiwanese aborigines are very wise and knowledgeable about mountains and forests. They usually say if we treasure our land, and it would work for us. The work is based on the theme of “djulis,” an indigenous plant in Taiwan. There are 4 totems in total, representing “cultivation, wisdom, harvest, and rebirth,” expressing the idea that people should respect and learn from the spirits of those Taiwanese aborigines.
