E&C Wayfinding Project / Wayfinding System

E&C Wayfinding Project
E&C Wayfinding Project

The purpose of this project is to create a new wayfinding system for Elephant & Castle, London as it has long been notorious for its confusing navigation and negative atmosphere. To create a positive visual identity, I made use of color and the idea of tree. I divided the place into five areas. Each area is represented by a colour and a symbol as this is significant to improve visitors' visual perception and environmental experience. More importantly, the signage aims to be clear, flexible and functional. Three types of signage, including The Tree, The Map and Guidelines, are created. I believe this system can make the place better to live.
