"Schönbär und Nonne" is a unique and artistic book about nocturnal butterflies (moths). Every moth is shown from two main perspectives: design and biology. The book describes the colors, shapes and adaptions of 230 species of moths, photographed by the author over a period of three years. In order to achieve this, the author set up a light trap in his garden in Germany. Almost 900 conceptual pictures and short texts show the biodiversity of these unknown and usually hidden and rarely-seen insects. The aim of the book is to provide the reader with information and happiness.
