Dewdrop Tree / Water Purification Device

Dewdrop Tree

Discipline: Product

Discipline: Product

The Dewdrop tree is a device for collecting and purifying drinking water. It allows collecting water even in a desert climate and it has a similar role of collecting water as does a tree. The product is largely divided into three parts: the dewdrop-forming device which utilizes the PCM material effectively and collects moisture, the body which purifies the collected dewdrops into living water/drinking water and the water basket part which stores the purified water and can be detached. Dewdrop has been designed to be suitable for regions with severe water shortage. It is easy to use and can be easily installed near the house.

The Dewdrop Tree project is a good idea for gathering water to be used in arid regions, it's good for students using design to help the world.
Jury Statement
I think all our hard work towards our design has produced invaluable ‘gems’ that are much more valuable than real gold and pearls. I consider them as our ‘valuable seeds.’ Our ‘seeds of design’ will deliver vibrant energy of love and happiness all over the world, just like dandelions that fly in the wind. I consider our designers as people who plant seeds and trees, even if it involves going through extreme pain to deliver the results we want. I encourage all of you to do the best you can with a sense of duty and hope. We will all work together to make everyone we serve happier and our world a better place to live.
