This recycling project focuses on the use of discarded material and waste in an untested field. Through numerous experiments with locally collected refuse and waste, a material was found that could be reintroduced to the usable world before wandering to the recycling station. This was the Tetra Pak. By introducing new folding techniques close to traditional origami, a stable, strong and durable structure was achieved, all without the need of any adhesives.
For our product, we decided that we wanted to show the main strengths of the material: Stability, while maintaining flexibility and natural water resistance.
The Tetraboard was born.
