Furniture Industry in Brazil is not prepared to adapt to space limitations and lifestyle of contemporary homes, especially for the popular classes. The few options they have access to has low quality and resistance without any attempt to fulfill sustainable requirements. Aiming to bring a solution in a country without IKEA business model, I studied an extreme case where those problems were more evident. The Catavento System provides simple solutions for families in temporary homes, with quality and resistance. It’s based on metal join elements, screws and pre-cut sheets. Neither special tools are needed nor specialized manpower.
