Beds normally are made out of wood only. With Carlotta we tried to use an unconventional material and combine it with something traditional. Carlotta is very simple. Four woodboards and two crude steel elements are all the shape consists. The crude steel elements unite the bed with the backrest in an elegant and simple way. Furthermore they build the bed’s foots. There are no screws on the sides, which could impair the clear shape. The frame, which contains the mattress, is made out of wood, to keep a bit conventionality.
