In 2006, US Food Drugs and Administration reported that more food poisoning outbreaks are now trace to fruits and vegetables than meat, poultry and eggs. “Hauptlabor” is a kitchen/ laboratory/performance art that deals with domestic food contamination based on two scenarios of food and future society. The aim is to minimise the source of food cycle from the outside as well as presenting the process of preparing our fresh produces. Due to the raise of technology and network, the future interior is “no longer rigid but elastic to provide different fabrics of service in real time.” Therefore Hauptlabor can be joined, rearranged and adapted.
