The infrared sensor is usually installed at the bottom of an auto tap, which leads the user to reach hands towards the infrared sensor. However, the problem is that the infrared sensor is above the countertop,so user's hands are probably above the countertop corresponding to the infrared sensor. Then the water flow from the auto tap on user's hands and the force makes it deflect to unpredictable directions,so the countertop or the wall behind auto tap will be wet.
In this design, the auto tap is installed in the sink and the infrared sensor is combined with the water outlet,so the problem is solved and the user won't mentally feel any change.
