Augmented Simulations / Augmented Reality App

Augmented Simulations

Augmented Simulations visualises abstract classroom topics (astronomy, physics, life sciences) using household objects as reference points. Students view the experiment through their smartphones and can influence the simulation parameters in real-time. Teachers set the scene by sticking Bluetooth “nearables” onto props. The app then overlays the virtual simulation imagery using a combination of signal triangulation and image recognition.

The best teachers have always resolved to find ways to make complex topics tangible. Augmented Simulations builds on that behaviour and encourages experimentation.
