RANDEN / Stool

RANDEN
RANDEN

RANDEN is an industrial design student collaboration, with the aim to develop a home furniture that imply value into low status materials such as plywood. Three key words where used during the design process: sustainability, durability and low material usage. Transforming the words into a pice of furniture, resulted in a minimalistic stool inspired by the 1950s drawers and 1960s spaceships.

The beauty in the material and its manufacturing process are the focus within the form language. The seating edge`s angle enhances the stripes that naturally occur in plywood. By using small form implements, value is given to the material.
