Design concept:Taiwan is facing the problem of land subsidence and the world is threatened by global warming. People may have to live with seawater flooding and other natural backlash in the future. Underwater buildings are a solution to humanity’s long-term residential needs and be part of a sustainable ecological environment. This project is designed to cope with imminent crises of human survival and achieve sustainability for the Earth’s environment.
Design technique: The elevator concept is adopted for accessing underwater building, and submarine concepts are also adopted in the design of living spaces.
