In our project one drop of water enhances a piece of jewelry with its purity and perfection. Like small dewdrops in the morning make grass sparkle -
a water drop is functioning as a diamond in the rings. The form of the rings are inspired by a superhydrophobic water plant - the lotus. The water drop remains a spherical shape due to the self-cleaning and nano-structured surface of the jewelry.
A playful balancing act between the wearer and the drop of water emerges.
The rings highlight a natural resource that will be worth more than gemstones in the future.
