Mixed Ring Wood is recycling of waste wood-pieces (off-cuts) from workshops into gravity-defying thin legged wood furniture.
A steel rod is bored through a stack of woodcuts after which the ‘wooden’ rods are welded together and polished.
The end product is incredibly thin legged (3/4inch diameter) wood furniture (all tables, chairs, kitchen counters, etc) that defy weight placed on them.
The various species of hardwood of different shades come together in randomly sized bands giving organic beauty to the minimalist furniture. Ecologically, it increases efficiency of hardwood use while simultaneously quenching hardwood furniture demand.
